In this guide, we will walk you through the functions of Treasure Map, how to get them, how to locate them, and gain access to the buried valuable treasure for you to discover and take! What are Treasure Maps?
Maps are items that can be consumed to give you a hand in pinpointing the hidden treasures found across the map. These treasure chests contain valuable rewards that players will benefit from them. Treasure Maps has a rarity that goes from common up to Legendary. The higher the rarity of the map, the higher the loot.
Restored Maps
This is the common type of Treasure Map that when Acquired can be used immediately to locate the treasure across the map. It has the rarity of Common to Legendary
Faded Treasure Maps
These maps are like broken maps that can be restored through crafting. it has the rarity of Common to Legendary.
How to Restore Faded Treasure Maps
To restore the Faded Treasure Map you will need Paper and a Red Ink. The paper can be bought in the general store alongside water that will be needed in crafting the required materials.
To acquire Red Ink. Go to an alchemy station and the materials for the red ink would be Ruby Powder, (which can be crafted in the same station) and Water. which can be bought easily at a General Store Vendor. Make sure that the Red Ink that you would be crafting matches the rarity of the faded treasure map.
Now if you have ruby powder you should be able to mix it with water to craft Red Ink. it takes a minute to complete.
Now that you have the necessary materials. It`s time to craft and restore the faded map. If Completed, The Faded Map can now be used and labeled as a restored map.
Excavation Kit
Another requirement in our Ashes of Creation: The Ultimate Treasure Maps Guide is the Excavation Kit which is another consumable item that must be crafted before using a Treasure Map. This kit will enable you to extract the chest and reap the rewards inside. Take note that You must have the same rarity of Excavation Kit with your Treasure Map. For Instance, the Uncommon Excavation Kit will only work with Uncommon Treasure Map and so on.
Crafting an Excavation Kit
The excavation Kit can be crafted through Arcane Engineering Station. It requires Zinc Fragments, Copper Fragments, and Ash Timber. Be aware that crafting a higher Excavation Kit requires higher-quality materials. depending on the rarity you want to craft.
How to Locate your Treasure Chest by using Treasure Maps
To finally start your awaited treasure-hunting Adventure. Click on the consumable Treasure Hunting Map and It will be considered as a Quest in your Journal.
Open your Map and you will see a Multiple Circle in a specific location. The higher the rarity of the map used, the higher the number of circles will spawn.
Tips for Locating the Treasure Map Easily
To find the final location of the map, Pinpoint the overlapping area of all the circles. It feels like using a Venn Diagram. In that Area, is where your treasure can be found.
Find an unusual place or discolored surface on the ground
A dirt-looking appearance that is on the ground is what you are looking for. It looks like the one in the picture. Interact with it and a chest will pop up. Take note that if you don’t have the excavation kit, or using the wrong rarity. You cannot open up the chest so make sure to prepare that before going to the location.
Each chest contains different items inside including consumables, Small Gold Pouch or Copper, and many more depending on the rarity of the Treasure Maps used.
