Pick a Suitable Server depending on your Location

These are starting weapons that you could use in your journey. Don’t rush things, grasp the game and explore there could be some valuable items, equipment, and intriguing lore that make your exploration exciting and worthwhile. Some Quest will give directions, but others will not, so explore is one key to finding your way. Now that you are equipped with the starter weapons. It’s time to do your first quest.

Basic Settings that help with Combat

In the bottom right corner of your screen, There is a gear button called Options, Open that and click on combat. Then, Gameplay. Toggle on Auto Attack Enabled and Start Auto Attack after Ranged Ability. These two options will help you to ease your combat during your adventures. If you find this difficult you can tweak different options depending on your preferences.

How to Complete Your First Quest and Combat

If you follow the path before your spawn area, The path leads you down the side of the mountain. There an Optional Quest will trigger requiring you to Kill 3 goblins. This is a quest to practice and make you grasp the combat system, testing out your weapons, timing to dodge and attack, and finalizing your combat style is essential as the quest becomes much more difficult later on.

Continue down the path, and you will talk to a NPC called “Official Tallahad". This NPC is your next crucial interaction within the game.

Official Tallahad will introduce you to the Emberspring, a respawn point whenever you die. This is vital since the map of Verra is huge and Embersprings reduces the amount of time traveling across the map when you die so keep in mind that whenever you reach a new location. Head over to “Billmaster Harold". He will introduce you to the Commission Board. Commission Board allows you to take a Commission Quest. Consider it as a Side quest. Make sure to read the quest description and rewards before taking them.

Now, Find the NPC called “Trades Manager Hermet" He will give you a series of quests designed to introduce you to Ashes of Creation’s crafting system and artisan professions. His quest will also introduce you to gathering resources such as wood, stone and herbs and turn them into valuable items using the crafting bench for your adventures.

To level up your profession, check out the Artisan Commission Board, It gives a quest that relates to crafting items that give the player Profession Exp. It is a good way to level up your profession while gaining different valuable items. Artisan Quests matter since they give you a handful of knowledge of the different professions that are currently in the game, Also, They give you which profession to focus on later such as Weapon Smithing, Alchemy, or Gathering. Trade’s Manager Hermet will give you a last quest. This quest is viable in getting your very own horse! Yes, It helps with traveling faster and traversing paths that could include exploring a new location. Simply, A Game Changer!

Also, when you die during a PvP, You will lose a gear permanently! Quick Tip. The player’s name flagged with PvP has a color of purple, while a corrupt one stays in red.

First off, Vendors are merchants that sell valuable items such as Rations, equipment, and Bags that you will be using most of the time in Ashes of Creation. The interaction that you will always do with the vendor is selling Glints.

Glints are a droppable item when killing mobs. It is an item that can be exchanged for copper through Vendors. Take note that when you die. You will lose a bit of Glint so make sure to exchange glints as soon as possible when you encounter vendors.

Lastly, bags. It is a wearable storage that makes your safekeeping of items gathered or bought safe. There are different types of bags, but each resource can be stored in every bag. Also, Each bag has a buff or a special effect to them, so choose wisely on which bag you will be buying. For Starters, Two Bags is decent and will give you the upperhand in storing valuable items and selling them to a vendor at a later time.

Each time you level up, You will gain a Skill point. It can be spent on skills, weapon upgrades, and stamina. Take time to read every description of Skills and Abilities and imagine them on what playstyle you want. Some skills and abilities can be paired up with other players like support skills or buff skills, so if you are playing cooperatively, make sure to communicate with them!
